Gossip Gils Stars in the White House

Every year, the President hosts the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, and this year, President Obama is going to be surrounded by some big-name celebrities.

Expected to attend are Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, John Cusack and some of the fresh, hot faces from Gossip Girl.

Slated to attend are Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr. Crawford, who is a Democrat, was invited to the event by Fox News and he hopes this will mean a meet and greet with Bill O’Reilly so the two can talk “about his pro-Obama beliefs.”

The Name Miley #127

After 12 years as the most popular US girls name “Emily” slipped to number three, outpaced by the surging “Emma” and “Isabella”:

“The girls names we see moving up most quickly tend to be quite feminine.  Names starting with a vowel and ending in ‘a.”

The most popular 10 names for girl, in order, are:

Emma, Isabella, Emily, Madison, Ava, Olivia, Sophia, Abigail, Elizabeth and Chloe.

Disney star Miley Cyrus saw her named rise dramatically in popularity, with “Miley” moving up more than 100 spots to number 127. But her alter-ego  Hannah Montana slipped somewhat, with “Hannah” falling out of the top 10 and landing at number 17.

Chelsea Staub: Interview

Chelsea Staub the girl who plays Stella on J.O.N.A.S. chatted with Zach Sang at “WZAP Radio” about her famous costars:

“I hear a lot of people say, ‘The Jonas Brothers are like brothers to me,’ and in my case, that is not true.  I think they’re adorable and I can honestly say I have a crush on all three of them. They are like the dream guy. They’re rock stars. They’re really, it doesn’t hurt to look at them, they’re gorgeous, and on top of everything else, they open doors and pull out chairs and compliment the way you look. It’s just like, Wow! Perfect package.’ I feel really lucky that I get to be around them and work with them and have a relationship that’s not actually a romantic relationship. We have a really cool ‘friend’ relationship, so I kind of get the best of both worlds in the sense I love to be around these guys.. but no, I’m not dating any of them.”

On hanging with Joe in Santa Monica back in March 2008:

“I met the Jonas Brothers a couple of years ago. So we were able to kind of stay in touch and remain friends, even though people weren’t aware we had already filmed [JONAS]. It was kind of like, Who’s the blond girl hanging out with Joe? At that particular point in time, the boys are touring and they are not home a lot and we don’t get to see each other a lot. At that point in time they were in LA, they had a couple of days off. So we just decided to go hang out, go shopping, check out Urban Outfitters, go down to Santa Monica Promenade. It was my first encounter with paparazzi, and coming home and opening up my computer and having pictures of us together or turning on E! News and having them talk about it. It was just very, very bizarre. It was such a weird place for me to be in because I didn’t mean to upset anyone and I wasn’t doing it like, Oooo, I hope people get to see me hanging out with Joe Jonas. He was just a good friend and I was really excited to see him.”

Taylor Swift: Paul O’Grady Show

Taylor Swift performs Teardrops on my guitar at the Paul O’Grady Show. She also did an interview.

She also posted a new vidoe at her myspace/youtube:

And – is the new JB song Paranoid about Taylor Swift ? Rolling Stone magazine thinks so:

“Jonas Brothers seem to have struck back, against Taylor Swift’s ‘Forever & Always’ in the first single Paranoid. While it’s a far, far, far cry from the Black Sabbath song of the same name, it does edge into slightly harder territory than than the sugary power pop of last year’s A Little Bit Longer. On the synth-heavy tune, Joe Jonas is ‘caught in a nightmare/ can’t wake up.’ But for those reading for, say, teen turmoil, this passage may set off alarms: ‘That’s why my ex is still my ex/I never trust a word she says/ I’m running all the background checks/ And she’s freaking out.”

Nick said:

“This new album for us I wouldn’t say it’s a big jump, but it definitely is a progression in our music and a growth for us. Joe: ‘It has a lot of more kind of horns and a lot more strings. Also there’s more to the music rather than just a typical kind of relationship song.”
